The Somatic Lab
by PleasureFWRD
A women- and femme-centered space to come home to your body.
The Somatic Lab creates intimate group experiences in Chicago where nervous-system awareness, gentle movement, rest, relationships, connection, and pleasure become lived practices—not another wellness task to complete.
Chicago • Up to 12 Guests Per Group Session • Ages 18+
A SOFTER PLACE TO LAND
The Somatic Lab is a small, intentional space for people who want to explore greater ease, softness, and presence in their bodies.
Through guided somatic practices, gentle movement, reflection, meaningful conversation, and community, each experience offers a different doorway into embodiment.
Some evenings invite you to rest.
Others help you understand your nervous system, relationships, boundaries, desire, or capacity to receive.
Nothing is forced. You are always invited to listen to your body, participate at your own pace, and choose what feels supportive.

The Experience
October 3rd · 5–7 PM
1-Hour Shake & Release Ritual + 1-Hour Community Social
N/A drinks + tea provided.
Sometimes your body doesn’t need another mindset shift.
Sometimes it just needs to move.
Somatic Shake & Release Night™ is a 2-hour energetic embodiment ritual and community experience centered around shaking, movement, music, free-form dance, expression, play, and connection.
The first hour is our guided Shake & Release Ritual.
We’ll begin slowly—arriving, breathing, stretching, swaying, and awakening the body—before building into shaking, bouncing, stomping, intuitive movement, music, and dance.
There is no choreography to learn. No rhythm to perfect. No right way to move.
You’ll be invited to notice what your body wants more of, less of, or none of at all—and experiment with movement as a way of listening, expressing, and taking up space rather than performing.
Then we shift from practice into community.
For the second hour, the studio opens into a relaxed social space with non-alcoholic drinks and tea provided, music, conversation, and time to connect.
Stay energized. Cool down. Meet someone new. Sit on the floor with your tea. Keep dancing. Laugh. Talk. Be quiet. Leave when you’re ready.
This isn’t about forcing a release or producing a particular emotional experience.
It’s an evening to move, feel, play, connect, and discover how good a little weirdness can feel.
You’ll Experience
SHAKE — Awaken + Energize
We start with accessible movement that gradually brings attention into the body.
Expect grounding, breath, stretching, swaying, rocking, bouncing, shaking, stomping, rhythmic movement, and moments of pause.
We’ll play with the contrast between:
Movement → pause → notice.
What changed?
Where is there energy?
Where does your body want more movement?
Where does it want less?
Everything is an invitation. Make it bigger, smaller, slower, seated, different—or skip it completely.
MOVE — Dance + Express
As the music builds, shaking evolves into intuitive movement and free-form dance.
We’ll explore hips, shoulders, rhythm, gesture, expansion, contraction, taking up space, getting small, slowing down, getting loud, getting playful, and letting movement become your own.
At times, Mayra will guide you.
And then comes the invitation:
Stop following.
Let your body decide.
Dance. Shake. Sway. Stomp. Stretch. Move sensually. Move awkwardly. Move powerfully. Barely move at all.
We may also play with embodied expressions of:
YES.
NO.
I DON’T KNOW YET.
There is nothing to perform and no one to impress.
RELEASE — Slow Down + Integrate
The music gradually changes.
Big movement becomes smaller movement.
Dance becomes sway.
Sway becomes breath.
And eventually, movement becomes stillness.
You’ll have time on the floor to notice sensation, heartbeat, temperature, breath, energy, emotion—or simply the feeling of having moved.
The question isn't:
“Did I release enough?”
It's:
“What do I notice now?”
You don't have to feel calmer, happier, lighter, or different for the experience to count.
CONNECT — Community Hour
After our movement ritual, the night isn't over.
For the next hour, you're invited to simply be together.
Non-alcoholic drinks and tea will be provided while music continues and the studio becomes a relaxed community space.
There’s no facilitated networking and no pressure to socialize.
Keep moving if your body wants to move.
Grab some tea.
Meet another woman.
Talk about what you experienced—or talk about absolutely anything else.
Sit somewhere cozy.
Laugh.
Connect.
Rest.
This hour is intentionally unstructured because embodiment isn't only something we practice with our eyes closed on a mat.
We get to practice being ourselves around other people, too.
You’ll Leave With
A playful shaking and movement practice you can return to at home, greater awareness of your body's sensations and preferences, experience with intuitive movement and dance without choreography, opportunities to explore expression and choice through the body, and—perhaps most importantly—an evening of movement, music, pleasure, play, and human connection.

Mayra will guide you through gentle breath awareness, grounding, soft somatic movement, and floor-based rest while Patrice creates an immersive live sound landscape around the room.
You’ll be invited to notice areas of tension and ease, explore movement within your own comfortable range, and gradually settle into rest as the sound journey unfolds.
You may lie down, remain seated, change positions, use ear protection, step outside, or stop participating whenever needed. There is no expected response and no right way to receive the experience.
Mayra will remain present throughout the journey to hold grounded, trauma-informed space, while Patrice carries the room through sound, vibration, and stillness.
🌙 15 Minutes | Closing Circle & Integration
After the sound journey, we’ll return slowly.

The Experience
Some of the most meaningful moments in life aren’t the loudest.
They’re the quiet ones.
The first sip of warm tea.
Sunlight moving through a window.
A deep breath.
A moment with nowhere else to be.
Tea & Stillness™ is a gentle 60-minute experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover the quiet beauty of presence through tea, somatic grounding, intentional silence, and reflection.
This isn’t about emptying your mind or being perfectly still.
It’s an invitation to notice.
To listen.
To breathe.
And to create a little more space around whatever you’re carrying.
Because stillness isn’t empty.
It’s where we begin to hear ourselves again.
You’ll Experience
🍵 Intentional Tea Ritual
Begin the evening by preparing and receiving a warm cup of tea with greater intention.
Rather than rushing through the moment, you’ll be invited to notice the warmth of the cup, the aroma of the tea, its flavor, and the experience of allowing yourself to receive something slowly.

Explore gentle breath awareness, body awareness, and accessible movement as you transition out of the pace of everyday life and into the present moment.

The Experience
The Art of Somatic Rest™ invites us to do something many of us resist.
Slow down.
While the world encourages constant productivity, the body reminds us that rest is not the opposite of growth.
It is part of it.
But rest is not always as simple as lying down.
Sometimes the body is still while the mind keeps moving.
Sometimes we have time to rest but struggle to receive it.
Sometimes we don’t know what kind of rest we actually need.
The Art of Somatic Rest™ is a gentle, experiential Somatic Lab designed to help you understand your personal relationship with rest, notice what makes slowing down difficult, and discover practices that feel genuinely supportive to your body and everyday life.
This is not simply an evening of resting.
It is an opportunity to learn the language of your own rest.
You’ll Experience
🕯️ Arrival Ritual
Warm tea.
Soft candlelight.
A gentle transition out of the pace of everyday life.
We’ll begin by arriving together and noticing what you are carrying into the room—without pressure to change, release, or explain it.
🌿 Understanding Your Relationship With Rest
Explore the beliefs, habits, responsibilities, and protective patterns that may influence your ability to slow down.
You’ll be invited to consider:
What does rest mean to you?
What makes rest feel difficult, uncomfortable, or undeserved?
How do you know when you need rest?
What kind of rest are you actually longing for?
What helps your body feel supported enough to pause?
This is not about judging how well you rest.
It is about becoming more curious about what your body and life may be asking for.
🌬️ Somatic Rest Practice
Explore gentle breath awareness, restorative positions, small movements, sensory grounding, and intentional stillness.
Rather than trying to force relaxation, you’ll experiment with different ways of resting and notice how your body responds.
You may sit, lie down, move, change positions, keep your eyes open, or pause whenever needed.
There is no perfect resting position.
There is only the practice of listening.
🗺️ Create Your Somatic Rest Map™
Identify the environments, sensations, boundaries, positions, relationships, and rituals that help rest feel more accessible to you.
Your Somatic Rest Map™ may explore:
Physical rest
Mental spaciousness
Sensory rest
Emotional rest
Rest from responsibility and decision-making
Rest through solitude or supportive connection
Creative, playful, or spiritual renewal
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of which forms of rest you may be missing—and which ones genuinely nourish you.
✨ Design Your Personal Rest Ritual
Using what you discovered, create a realistic rest ritual that can fit into your everyday life.
Your ritual may be five minutes or an entire evening.
It may include silence, movement, warmth, music, time outside, sensory comfort, supportive boundaries, or permission to do absolutely nothing.
The goal is not to create another wellness task.
It is to develop a practice you may actually want to return to.
✍️ Reflection & Integration
Close with optional journaling and gentle reflection.
You’ll be invited to notice what surprised you, what felt supportive, and what you would like to carry forward.
Sharing is always optional.
You’ll Carry Forward

The Art of Somatic Rest provides somatic education, guided rest practices, reflection, and personal ritual design. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, medical care, physical therapy, massage therapy, or crisis support.
Rest is not something you have to earn.
It is a relationship you can learn to cultivate.
The Experience
Understand your patterns.
Listen to your body.
Respond with greater curiosity and choice.
Your nervous system influences far more than moments of stress.
It can shape how you respond to conflict.
How you experience closeness.
How you communicate boundaries.
How you rest.
How you connect.
And how you respond when something feels overwhelming.
Many of us have spent years criticizing ourselves for being “too sensitive,” “too emotional,” “too much,” or not able to simply calm down.
But many of the reactions we judge are protective responses our bodies have learned over time.
Befriending Your Nervous System™ is an educational and experiential introduction to understanding these patterns with curiosity instead of criticism.
Rather than trying to fix or control every response, you’ll learn to recognize signals of activation, settling, connection, and shutdown—and explore practices that may help you respond with greater awareness, flexibility, and self-compassion.
Because your body is not working against you.
It is communicating with you.
You’ll Explore
🧠 Understanding Your Inner Landscape
Learn the foundations of the autonomic nervous system and explore how stress responses may influence thoughts, emotions, behaviors, attention, and relationships.
We’ll discuss commonly described protective patterns such as fight, flight, freeze, fawn, and shutdown without using them as diagnoses or fixed identities.
🌿 Recognizing Your Patterns
Explore your personal signs of activation, overwhelm, disconnection, settling, and connection through guided reflection and somatic awareness.
You may begin noticing:
Changes in breathing or heart rate
Muscle tension or restlessness
Feeling energized, alert, numb, or disconnected
Urges to argue, leave, please, hide, or shut down
Changes in your ability to communicate or make decisions
Sensations associated with comfort, connection, or ease
The goal is not to label every experience.
It is to become more familiar with your own signals.
🌬️ Practicing Supportive Responses
Explore simple breath awareness, grounding, movement, orientation, sensory practices, and body awareness.
Rather than promising to regulate your nervous system on command, these practices offer opportunities to notice what helps you feel more present, supported, and able to make choices.
Every person responds differently. You’ll be encouraged to identify what feels useful to you and leave behind what does not.
✍️ Create Your Personal Nervous-System Support Map™
Identify your individual signs of activation, settling, overwhelm, and connection.
Your map may include:
Early signals that you are becoming activated
Environments and sensory experiences that feel supportive
Movements or grounding practices you may want to try
People you can contact for connection
Boundaries that support your capacity
Signs that you may need rest or professional care
Your map is not a clinical assessment or treatment plan.
It is a personal awareness tool you can continue developing over time.
You’ll Carry Forward
A foundational understanding of the autonomic nervous system
Greater awareness of your stress and protective patterns
More compassionate language for understanding your responses
Grounding and body-awareness practices to explore
Your personalized Nervous-System Support Map™
Greater curiosity about what helps you feel present, connected, and supported

Your responses are not personal failures.
They are signals you can learn to meet with greater understanding.
The Experience
Healthy relationships aren’t built only in extraordinary moments.
They are shaped through everyday choices that create trust, connection, understanding, and belonging.
Strong relationships rarely happen by accident.
They grow through countless moments of curiosity, honesty, repair, appreciation, play, boundaries, and intentional connection.
Relationships That Thrive™ is the culminating experience of the Relationships pillar, bringing together the practices explored throughout the series into a personal framework for creating more conscious and connected relationships over time.
Through evidence-informed education, somatic awareness, guided reflection, experiential exercises, and meaningful conversation, you’ll explore the habits, values, and relational practices that may help your relationships continue growing through life’s many seasons.
This experience is not about creating a perfect relationship.
It is about creating relationships where people have room to learn, grow, change, communicate, repair, and remain connected to themselves.
Because thriving relationships are not built by extraordinary people.
They are built by ordinary people who continue choosing curiosity, compassion, honesty, and intention.

A Note About Emotional Safety
Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space for emotions that may arise.
You are always in control of what you share. You will not be pressured to discuss private conflicts, identify another person, disclose trauma, or reveal details about your relationships.

Thriving relationships are not discovered fully formed.
They are cultivated through the ways we continue choosing to show up.
RELATIONSHIPS
The Experience
Understanding how you show up in relationships begins with becoming curious about what repeatedly happens between you and other people.
Every relationship tells a story.
Before we can create different ways of connecting, we may need to recognize the roles, expectations, and relational loops we already know.
Relational Patterns™ is an experiential workshop designed to help you explore how past experiences, family and cultural relationship models, learned beliefs, attachment strategies, communication habits, and protective roles may influence the way you connect with others today.
Rather than focusing on blame, labels, or fixing yourself, this experience invites curiosity.
Together, we’ll explore why certain interactions feel easy while others repeatedly leave us feeling misunderstood, disconnected, overextended, resentful, or emotionally distant.
You may recognize that you tend to pursue.
Withdraw.
Please.
Fix.
Control.
Avoid.
Overfunction.
Or abandon your own needs to preserve connection.
Through evidence-informed relationship education, guided reflection, experiential exercises, and meaningful conversation, you’ll begin identifying the patterns that shape your relationships—and consider whether those patterns still support the connection you want to create.
This experience asks:
What repeatedly happens between me and other people?
And where might a different choice become possible?
You’ll Experience
🌿 Where Our Patterns Begin
Reflect on the messages, expectations, and relationship models that may have shaped how you understand closeness, independence, love, conflict, boundaries, and belonging.
You may explore:
What you learned relationships were supposed to look like
The role you were expected to play in your family
What happened when you expressed needs or disagreement
Whether closeness felt consistent, conditional, overwhelming, or unavailable
How cultural, religious, or gender expectations influenced you
Which patterns you want to continue—and which no longer feel aligned
You are always in control of what you explore and share.
🧠 Attachment & Relational Strategies
Receive an accessible introduction to attachment concepts and common strategies people may use to preserve connection or protect themselves from disappointment.
These ideas are offered as frameworks for reflection—not diagnoses, fixed identities, or definitive explanations of anyone’s behavior.
The goal is not to label yourself or another person.
It is to become more curious about the strategies you learned and what they may be trying to accomplish.
🎭 The Roles We Learn to Play
Explore the roles you may automatically assume in relationships, such as:
The pursuer
The withdrawer
The pleaser
The fixer
The peacekeeper
The caretaker
The overfunctioner
The one who never needs anything
The one who leaves before being left
These roles are not character flaws.
They may be learned attempts to create safety, maintain connection, avoid conflict, or feel needed.
You’ll be invited to notice when a role feels authentic—and when it requires you to abandon yourself.
🔄 Recognizing Your Relational Loop
Explore what tends to happen before, during, and after a familiar relationship pattern.
You may notice:
The situation that begins the pattern
The meaning or assumption you quickly make
The role you automatically step into
What you do next—pursue, withdraw, please, fix, control, avoid, or shut down
How the other person may respond
How the pattern reinforces itself
What you wish you could communicate or choose differently
Body awareness may help you recognize when a familiar loop is beginning, but the focus of this experience is the relationship pattern itself—how it unfolds between people and where greater choice may become possible.
You will not be asked to recreate a conflict, diagnose another person, or intentionally activate yourself.
💬 Needs, Boundaries & Communication
Consider what may be difficult to say once a relational pattern begins.
What do you need?
What boundary may be missing?
What are you afraid might happen if you communicate honestly?
You’ll practice translating automatic reactions into clearer language for wants, needs, boundaries, and requests.
✍️ Guided Reflection & Journaling
Use thoughtful prompts to explore which patterns feel supportive, which may feel limiting, and what you want to practice differently.
🗺️ Create Your Relational Patterns Map™
Develop a personal awareness tool identifying:
Patterns you recognize in yourself
Situations that make those patterns more likely to appear
The role you tend to assume
The story or expectation beneath the pattern
Needs or boundaries that may be difficult to express
How the pattern affects connection
A different response you may want to practice
Questions you want to continue exploring
Your map is not a psychological assessment or treatment plan.
It is a living reflection you can continue developing over time.
🌙 Integration
Close by choosing one small relational practice to explore in everyday life.
This may be naming a need earlier, pausing before assuming, asking a curious question, allowing someone else to help, or honoring a boundary without overexplaining.
Sharing is always optional.
You’ll Carry Forward
Greater awareness of your relational patterns
An accessible understanding of attachment concepts
More compassionate language for understanding learned relationship roles
Greater clarity about the loops that repeatedly appear between you and others
Tools for identifying needs, boundaries, and communication choices
Your personalized Relational Patterns Map™
One practical relational shift to explore in everyday life
Perfect For

This experience focuses on your patterns and choices—not analyzing, diagnosing, or changing another person.

What to Bring

Curiosity
A willingness to reflect without judging yourself
Touch
Mayra does not provide massage, tissue manipulation, or intimate or erotic touch. This experience does not require participant-to-participant touch.
A Note About Emotional Safety
Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space for emotions that may arise.
You will never be required to disclose trauma, identify another person, share private relationship details, or revisit an experience before you are ready. Every reflection and practice may be modified, paused, or declined.
Relational Patterns provides relationship education, guided reflection, somatic awareness, and experiential learning. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, couples therapy, psychological assessment, attachment diagnosis, mediation, or crisis support.
Your patterns are not proof that something is wrong with you.
They are invitations to understand how you learned to connect—and to choose what you want to practice now.
The Experience
Trust is rarely built through one grand gesture.
It is cultivated through ordinary moments.
Keeping your word.
Respecting a boundary.
Being honest when the truth feels vulnerable.
Following through.
Taking responsibility.
Repairing after disappointment.
Showing up consistently enough for another person to know what they can expect from you.
Cultivating Trust™ is an experiential workshop exploring how trust is built, recognized, protected, and sometimes rebuilt in relationships.
This experience is not about trusting everyone.
It is not about ignoring your instincts, forgiving before you are ready, or remaining in a relationship that does not feel respectful.
It is about developing the discernment to recognize where trust exists, where it has been damaged, what repair may require, and whether another person’s actions support continued connection.
Because trust is not simply found.
It is cultivated through honesty, boundaries, consistency, accountability, and choice.
You’ll Explore
🌱 What Trust Is—and What It Is Not
Explore trust as something created through repeated experiences rather than promises alone.
We’ll consider the difference between:
Trust and blind faith
Trust and control
Trust and certainty
Forgiveness and reconciliation
Privacy and secrecy
An apology and meaningful repair
Wanting to trust someone and having evidence that they are trustworthy
Trust does not require you to ignore discomfort or abandon your boundaries.
🤝 The Small Moments That Build Trust
Notice the everyday behaviors that may strengthen trust over time, including:
Following through
Communicating honestly
Respecting a “no”
Being emotionally present
Admitting mistakes
Protecting confidentiality
Allowing questions
Responding with care
Behaving consistently across time
You’ll reflect on which actions help you experience another person as dependable—and which actions help others experience you that way.
🌿 Trust, Discernment & the Body
Explore how you personally experience trust, caution, uncertainty, and connection.
Body awareness may offer useful information, but no single physical sensation proves that a person is safe or unsafe. We’ll hold bodily responses alongside observable behavior, context, boundaries, values, and time.
The goal is not to override your instincts or treat every uncomfortable sensation as danger.
It is to develop a more curious and discerning relationship with the information available to you.
💬 Honesty, Transparency & Consistency
Explore the conversations and agreements that help trust grow.
You may reflect on:
What honesty means in different relationships
Which agreements need to be explicit
How much transparency is appropriate
What privacy means to you
How expectations are communicated
What consistency looks like in practice
❤️ When Trust Has Been Damaged
Explore what meaningful repair may require after disappointment, dishonesty, a broken agreement, or relational rupture.
Repair may include:
Naming what happened
Listening to the impact without defensiveness
Taking responsibility
Offering a sincere apology
Making amends where possible
Changing the behavior that caused harm
Allowing trust to rebuild gradually
Accepting that reconciliation may not occur
No one is entitled to immediate forgiveness, renewed access, or restored trust.
🌸 Rebuilding Self-Trust
Trusting yourself does not mean always making the perfect decision.
It means practicing how to listen to your needs, honor your boundaries, acknowledge when something feels misaligned, and respond with care when you change your mind or make a mistake.
You’ll explore small practices for strengthening your relationship with your own choices and inner knowing.
🗺️ Create Your Trust Map™
Develop a personal reflection tool identifying:
What trust means to you
Behaviors that help trust grow
Behaviors that damage trust
Boundaries that protect trust
Agreements that need greater clarity
What meaningful repair looks like to you
Evidence you need before extending or rebuilding trust
One trust-building practice you want to carry forward
Your Trust Map™ is not an assessment of another person.
It is a guide for making more intentional relational choices.
You’ll Carry Forward
A clearer understanding of how trust is cultivated
Greater discernment between promises and trustworthy behavior
Practical ways to communicate expectations and agreements
A framework for understanding rupture, accountability, and repair
Greater awareness of how boundaries support trust
Practices for strengthening self-trust
Your personalized Trust Map™
Perfect For
Women who want to understand how trust develops in romantic, familial, platonic, professional, or community relationships.

What to Bring
Journal

Curiosity
A willingness to reflect without forcing a particular outcome
Touch
Mayra does not provide massage, tissue manipulation, or intimate or erotic touch. This experience does not require participant-to-participant touch.
A Note About Emotional Safety
Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space for emotions that may arise.
You will never be required to disclose betrayal, trauma, abuse, infidelity, or private relationship details. Every reflection and practice may be modified, paused, or declined.
This experience does not encourage participants to rebuild trust, forgive, reconcile, or remain in relationships involving abuse, coercion, intimidation, stalking, or ongoing violations of consent and boundaries. When safety concerns are present, specialized professional support may be more appropriate.
Cultivating Trust provides relationship education, somatic awareness, reflection, and experiential learning. It is not psychotherapy, couples therapy, trauma treatment, mediation, legal advice, domestic-violence intervention, or crisis support.
Trust is not owed.
It is built, protected, and renewed through what we consistently choose.
The Experience
Healthy boundaries aren’t walls.
They are one of the clearest expressions of self-awareness and self-respect.
Many of us were taught that saying “yes” makes us kind, helpful, loving, or easy to be around.
We learned to accommodate.
To avoid disappointing people.
To explain ourselves until our boundaries sounded reasonable enough to be accepted.
To remain available even when we were exhausted.
Over time, repeatedly placing other people’s comfort ahead of our own capacity can lead to resentment, confusion, overextension, and disconnection from what we actually need.
Boundaries & Self-Respect™ is an experiential workshop designed to help you understand boundaries as honest communication about your values, needs, energy, body, time, and capacity.
This isn’t about pushing people away.
It is about creating relationships where honesty, consent, care, and mutual respect have room to exist.
Because a boundary is not a punishment.
It is information about what you are available for—and what you are not.
You’ll Experience
🌿 Understanding What Boundaries Are
Explore boundaries as personal limits and choices rather than tools for controlling another person’s behavior.
We’ll consider the difference between:
A boundary and a demand
A boundary and an ultimatum
Privacy and secrecy
Self-protection and avoidance
Flexibility and self-abandonment
Compromise and coerced agreement
Communicating a limit and convincing someone to approve it
A boundary does not guarantee that another person will agree.
It clarifies what you will choose when a limit is reached.
🧭 Recognizing Your Limits
Reflect on how you know when something feels aligned, uncertain, uncomfortable, or beyond your capacity.
You may explore boundaries related to:
Time and availability
Emotional labor
Physical space and touch
Sexuality and intimacy
Communication
Family and friendship
Work and caregiving
Privacy
Money and resources
Digital access and responsiveness
You do not need to justify a boundary by proving that you are overwhelmed enough to deserve one.
🌬️ Somatic Boundary Awareness
Explore how different possibilities—yes, no, maybe, not now, more, less, stop, or I need time—may feel in your body.
Body awareness can provide useful information, but no single sensation determines the correct decision. You’ll be encouraged to consider sensation alongside your values, context, safety, capacity, and conscious choice.
You will never be pressured to accept touch, disclose private information, or make a decision during the experience.
💬 Practicing Boundary Language
Explore direct, compassionate ways of communicating limits without overexplaining or apologizing for having needs.
You may practice language such as:
“No, I’m not available for that.”
“I need time before I answer.”
“I’m comfortable with this, but not with that.”
“That doesn’t work for me.”
“I’ve changed my mind.”
“Please stop.”
“If that continues, I will leave the conversation.”
“I’m willing to discuss this when we can both speak respectfully.”
Practice activities may involve hypothetical scenarios. You will not be required to disclose or reenact a personal conflict.
🌸 Navigating Guilt & Discomfort
Explore why guilt, fear, or discomfort may appear when you begin changing an established relational pattern.
Feeling guilty does not automatically mean you have done something wrong.
Sometimes it means you are doing something unfamiliar.
You’ll consider how to remain compassionate without abandoning the boundary you need.
🗺️ Create Your Boundary & Capacity Map™
Develop a personal reflection tool identifying:
What you are currently available for
What feels outside your capacity
Areas where your limits need greater clarity
Early signs of resentment or overextension
Boundaries you want to communicate
Language that feels authentic to you
Actions you can take if a boundary is not respected
People and resources that support your choices
Your map is not a set of rules for other people.
It is a guide for honoring your own limits and capacity.
🌙 Integration
Close by choosing one small boundary practice to explore in everyday life.
This may be pausing before saying yes, communicating a limit earlier, allowing yourself to change your mind, or declining without an extended explanation.
Sharing is always optional.
You’ll Carry Forward
A clearer understanding of what boundaries are—and what they are not
Greater awareness of your needs, limits, and capacity
Language for communicating boundaries with clarity and care
More understanding of the guilt or discomfort that boundaries may bring
Practical ways to respond when a boundary is not respected
Your personalized Boundary & Capacity Map™
One boundary practice to explore in everyday life
Perfect For
Women who struggle to say no, frequently overextend themselves, feel responsible for other people’s comfort, experience guilt when prioritizing their needs, or want relationships rooted in greater honesty and mutual respect.
You do not need to attend with another person.
Good to Know

Women and femme-aligned adults, ages 18+
Experience Level
Open to all. No previous relationship workshop or somatic experience is necessary.
What to Bring
Journal
Water bottle
Curiosity
A willingness to practice without forcing yourself
Touch
Mayra does not provide massage, tissue manipulation, or intimate or erotic touch. This experience does not require participant-to-participant physical touch.
Any consent or boundary exercise is verbal, reflective, or self-directed. Every practice may be modified or declined.
A Note About Emotional Safety
Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space for emotions that may arise.
You will never be required to disclose trauma, abuse, sexual experiences, or private relationship details. You may pause, step outside, remain silent, or stop participating without explanation.
This experience does not suggest that clearer communication can make every relationship safe. A person who repeatedly ignores, punishes, threatens, or retaliates against your boundaries may require a different response than improved communication.
Boundaries & Self-Respect provides relationship education, somatic awareness, communication practice, and guided reflection. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, legal advice, mediation, domestic-violence intervention, or crisis support.
A boundary does not ask:
“Will everyone approve?”
It asks:
“What allows me to remain honest and connected to myself?”
The Experience
Pleasure isn’t something you have to earn.
It is something you can learn to notice.
When was the last time you experienced pleasure without feeling as though everything else needed to be finished first?
For many women, pleasure becomes something reserved for vacations, special occasions, or the rare moment when every responsibility has been handled.
Work comes first.
Family comes first.
Everyone else’s needs come first.
Somewhere along the way, many women stop asking one simple question:
What brings me alive?
The Pleasure Practice™ is an experiential workshop that invites you to explore pleasure not as indulgence, reward, or escape—but as a meaningful part of everyday life.
Rather than focusing only on sexuality, this experience explores pleasure in its many forms:
The warmth of the sun on your skin.
A conversation that makes you feel seen.
Food you slow down enough to taste.
Music that moves you.
Creative expression.
Rest.
Laughter.
Beauty.
Movement.
Intimacy.
Wonder.
And yes, sexuality—when that feels relevant to you.
Through evidence-informed education, somatic awareness, sensory exploration, reflection, movement, and community conversation, you’ll begin noticing the people, places, sensations, environments, and experiences that bring more enjoyment and aliveness into your life.
Because pleasure doesn’t only exist in extraordinary moments.
It is often waiting inside ordinary ones.
You’ll Experience
🌿 Redefining Pleasure
Explore the meanings and messages you have inherited about pleasure.
You may reflect on:
What you were taught pleasure meant
Whether pleasure was associated with guilt, selfishness, danger, or excess
Who you learned was allowed to experience pleasure
Whether pleasure became something you had to deserve
How your relationship with pleasure has changed over time
What pleasure means to you now
This experience does not prescribe one definition of pleasure.
You are invited to discover your own.
🧭 Your PleasureFWRD Blueprint™
Begin identifying the experiences and qualities that help you feel most connected to yourself and your life.
Your Blueprint may explore emotional, relational, sensory, creative, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and erotic pleasure.
You choose which areas feel relevant and what you want to keep private.
🌸 Sensory Exploration
Move through gentle, self-directed invitations involving sight, sound, scent, taste, texture, movement, and imagination.
The goal is not to force enjoyment.
It is to notice your authentic responses:
More.
Less.
Yes.
No.
Maybe.
Not today.
I’m curious.
I’ve had enough.
Pleasure includes the freedom to recognize what does not feel pleasurable to you.
✨ Recognizing Pleasure Barriers
Explore the habits, beliefs, and circumstances that may make pleasure difficult to notice or prioritize.
These may include:
Guilt
Busyness
Perfectionism
Caregiving
Disconnection from the body
Fear of being judged
Waiting until everything is finished
Believing pleasure must be productive
Focusing on what you should enjoy instead of what you actually enjoy
You will not be asked to force positivity or override difficult emotions.
🗂️ Create Your Pleasure Portfolio™
Build a personal collection of the moments, environments, relationships, sensations, activities, and rituals that bring you alive.
Your Pleasure Portfolio™ may include:
Five-minute everyday pleasures

Movement and play
Intimacy and eroticism, if personally relevant
Pleasures that cost nothing

Pleasure practices are never used to dismiss grief, stress, anger, pain, or other difficult experiences. You will not be pressured to feel good, share personal information, discuss sexuality, or continue an activity that does not feel supportive.
The Pleasure Practice provides education, somatic awareness, sensory exploration, reflection, and personal ritual design. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, medical care, sexual therapy, or crisis support.
Pleasure is not a destination.
It is a relationship with what makes you feel alive.
PLEASURE
The Experience
Awareness • Sensation • Ritual • Self-Connection
Somatic Pleasure Mapping & Ritual™ is a guided, body-aware experience designed to help you slow down, notice sensation, and explore what feels comforting, pleasurable, neutral, activating, or supportive in your body.
This experience approaches pleasure as a broad and personal part of being human.
Pleasure may be warmth.
Movement.
Softness.
Stillness.
Texture.
Breath.
Space.
Comfort.
Energy.
Or the experience of recognizing what your body does—and does not—want.
Rather than searching for more pleasure, you’ll practice noticing what is already present and develop a personalized ritual that supports a more intentional relationship with your body.
This is a nonsexual, clothed, self-directed experience.
You remain fully in control of what you explore.
You’ll Experience
🌿 Arriving in the Body
Begin with gentle breath awareness, grounding, and accessible movement.
You’ll be invited to notice how you feel in the present moment without pressure to relax, change, release, or interpret what you find.
There is no correct way to experience your body.
Curiosity is enough.
🗺️ Guided Body Scan & Somatic Pleasure Mapping
Move through a guided body-awareness practice and begin creating a map of your personal sensory landscape.
You may notice areas of:
Ease or openness
Physical tension
Warmth or coolness
Energy or stillness
Comfort or discomfort
Sensitivity or numbness
Curiosity
Neutrality
Pleasure
Boundaries
A desire for more, less, or no stimulation
Not every part of the body needs to feel pleasurable.
Neutrality, uncertainty, discomfort, and “I don’t know” are all valid information.
You will not be asked to expose, touch, or describe intimate areas of your body.
🌸 Self-Directed Sensory Exploration
Explore optional sensory invitations using objects, textures, temperature, breath, movement, and clothed self-touch.
You may be invited to notice:
Which textures feel comforting or interesting
Whether you prefer stillness or movement
How proximity, pressure, sound, or temperature affect your experience
When curiosity becomes enough
How your body communicates yes, no, maybe, more, less, or stop
Every invitation may be modified or declined.
Pleasure includes the freedom to recognize when you have had enough.
✍️ Create Your Somatic Pleasure Map™
Develop a personal reflection tool identifying:
Sensations that feel supportive
Environments that help you feel present
Areas where you notice ease, tension, curiosity, or neutrality
Sensory experiences you enjoy
Boundaries you want to honor

Questions you want to continue exploring
Your map is not a medical, psychological, or pelvic-health assessment.
It is a personal awareness tool.
✨ Design Your Personal Somatic Ritual
Use what you discovered to create a simple ritual you can explore in everyday life.
Your ritual may include:
Breath awareness
Gentle movement
Clothed, nonsexual self-touch
Sensory objects or textures
Mindfulness

Every practice may be modified, paused, or declined. You may change positions, rest, step outside, or stop participating at any time.
Somatic Pleasure Mapping & Ritual provides somatic education, self-directed body awareness, sensory exploration, reflection, and personal ritual design. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, medical care, pelvic-floor therapy, massage therapy, sexual services, or crisis support.
Pleasure begins with presence.
And presence begins with permission to notice what is true for you.
The Experience
Question the stories you inherited about pleasure, desire, worth, femininity, success, and what you are “allowed” to want.
Long before we began making our own choices, many of us absorbed ideas about who we were supposed to be.
Be nice.
Don’t ask for too much.
Take care of everyone else first.
Don’t be selfish.
Work hard before you rest.
Good girls don’t…
Women your age shouldn’t…
Mothers are supposed to…
Partners should…
Over time, these messages may quietly shape the way we experience pleasure, relationships, rest, ambition, sexuality, our bodies, and our identities.
Who Told You That?™ is an experiential workshop designed to help women gently examine the beliefs they have inherited—and consciously decide which ones still belong in their lives.
Through somatic awareness, guided reflection, journaling, movement, values exploration, and meaningful conversation, you’ll begin separating what you authentically believe from what you learned to believe.
This workshop is not about rejecting your family, culture, faith, relationships, or everything you have been taught.
It is about becoming conscious enough to choose what still aligns with the woman you are today.
Because freedom does not always begin when someone gives us permission.
Sometimes it begins when we realize we are allowed to question the rules.
You’ll Experience
🧠 Identifying the Inherited Stories
Begin noticing the messages you may have absorbed from family, culture, religion, gender roles, relationships, school, work, and society.
You may explore beliefs about:
Being a “good” woman
Pleasure and desire
Rest and productivity
Success and ambition
Beauty and body image
Age and femininity
Motherhood and caregiving
Relationships and partnership
Sexuality
Worthiness and belonging
Asking for more
Changing your mind
The goal is not to determine whether every message was good or bad.
It is to recognize which messages are actually yours.
🗺️ Create Your Inherited Stories Map™
Trace where certain beliefs may have come from and how they continue to influence your choices.
Your map may explore:
The message you received
Who or what taught it to you
What the message may have been trying to protect or preserve
How it has shaped your behavior
What it has allowed
What it has limited
Whether it still aligns with your present-day values
You choose which beliefs you want to explore and what you want to keep private.
🌿 Somatic Awareness
Notice how different beliefs, possibilities, and choices feel as you consider them.
You may become aware of tension, ease, energy, resistance, curiosity, uncertainty, or emotion.
Body awareness offers information—not absolute answers. You’ll be encouraged to consider what you notice alongside your values, circumstances, relationships, and conscious judgment.
You will not be asked to force a response or treat every sensation as proof.
✍️ Questioning the Script
Use guided prompts to examine an inherited belief with greater curiosity.
You may ask:
Is this always true?
Who benefits when I believe this?
What has this belief protected me from?
What has it cost me?
Does it reflect my current values?
What might I believe if I were allowed to choose again?
What would change if this rule no longer directed my life?
🧭 Values Clarification
Identify the values you want your choices to reflect now.
Rather than replacing one rigid set of rules with another, you’ll explore how values can guide decisions while leaving room for complexity, context, and change.
✨ Write Your Permission Statement™
Choose one inherited rule you are ready to question and create a personal statement that reflects your present-day values.
Your statement may begin with:
“I am allowed to…”
“I no longer have to…”
“I choose…”
“I give myself permission to…”
“It is safe enough for me to question…”
“I am still deciding…”
You do not have to feel completely certain for a new possibility to matter.
🌙 Reflection & Integration
Close with journaling, optional sharing, and one small values-aligned choice you may want to explore in everyday life.
Sharing is always optional.
You May Leave With
Greater awareness of the beliefs and expectations you have inherited
A personal map of how those messages have influenced your choices
Questions for examining narratives that may no longer fit
Greater clarity about your present-day values
Your personal Permission Statement™
One intentional choice to explore moving forward
More compassion for the ways inherited beliefs may have once helped you belong
Perfect For
Women navigating identity shifts, questioning old expectations, reconnecting with themselves, exploring pleasure with less shame, or intentionally redefining success, femininity, relationships, rest, and well-being on their own terms.
You do not need to reject your past to become more intentional about your future.
Good to Know
Designed For
Women and femme-aligned adults, ages 18+
Experience Level
Open to all. No previous somatic, personal-development, or sexuality workshop experience is necessary.
What to Bring
Journal
Water bottle
Curiosity
A willingness to question without forcing an immediate answer
Sexual Content
Sexuality may be discussed as one area where inherited beliefs appear, but it is not the sole focus of the experience.
There is no nudity, sexual activity, genital or breast contact, or erotic facilitator touch.
Touch
Mayra does not provide massage, tissue manipulation, or intimate or erotic touch. This experience does not require participant-to-participant touch.
A Note About Emotional Safety
Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space for emotions that may arise.
Exploring inherited beliefs can bring up complicated feelings about family, culture, faith, identity, and belonging. You will never be pressured to criticize your community, disclose trauma, defend your values, or reject a belief before you are ready.
Every practice may be modified, paused, or declined. You are always in control of what you share.
Who Told You That? provides education, somatic awareness, values reflection, journaling, and experiential learning. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, religious counseling, medical care, or crisis support.
You do not have to become someone entirely new.
You may simply need permission to question who you were told to be.
The Experience
Have you ever noticed how quickly you move past the good moments?
You finish a project and immediately think about what comes next.
Someone gives you a compliment and you brush it off.
You finally have time to rest—but instead of enjoying it, you feel guilty.
Something beautiful happens, yet part of you is already preparing for it to end.
For many women, the challenge is not always that pleasure, joy, or connection are unavailable.
It is that staying present long enough to receive them can feel unfamiliar.
Letting It Be Good™ is an experiential workshop exploring our ability to notice, receive, and savor pleasant moments without immediately minimizing them, performing gratitude, searching for what is wrong, or feeling as though we must earn them.
Through evidence-informed education, somatic awareness, sensory exploration, guided reflection, and meaningful connection, you’ll become curious about the patterns that interrupt enjoyment and practice remaining present with goodness for a few moments longer.
This experience is not about forcing happiness.
It is not about ignoring grief, stress, anger, fear, or the realities of your life.
It is about allowing a genuinely good moment to be good while it is here.
Because sometimes receiving begins with not rushing away.
You’ll Experience
🌿 Noticing What Interrupts the Good
Reflect on what tends to happen when something feels pleasurable, affirming, peaceful, or meaningful.
You may notice patterns such as:
Minimizing the experience
Distracting yourself
Moving immediately to the next task
Feeling guilty
Questioning whether you deserve it
Searching for what could go wrong
Deflecting compliments
Turning receiving into another performance
Feeling responsible for making the moment last
Becoming uncomfortable when attention is directed toward you
These patterns are not treated as failures.
They are invitations to understand what receiving feels like for you.
🧠 The Practice of Savoring
Learn about savoring as the intentional practice of giving attention to a pleasant or meaningful experience.
Savoring does not require exaggerating a moment or convincing yourself to feel differently.
It may be as simple as noticing:
This feels warm.
I like this.
I feel connected.
I want to stay here for another breath.
That mattered to me.
🌸 Somatic Receiving Practice
Explore short, self-directed practices for noticing pleasant or supportive sensations.
You may work with:
Warmth
Texture
Sound
Color
Breath
Movement
Comfort
Appreciation
A supportive object
A meaningful memory
A moment of connection
You decide what feels pleasant enough to explore.
Pleasure is never assumed, and you may stop whenever you have received enough.
💬 Receiving Without Deflecting
Practice receiving something simple—such as appreciation, kind attention, or a compliment—without immediately dismissing it, explaining it away, or returning it.
A response may be as simple as:
“Thank you.”
“I’m letting that land.”
“I appreciate hearing that.”
“I need a moment to receive that.”
Interactive exercises are optional, nonsexual, and do not require physical touch.
✨ Staying for One More Moment
Experiment with remaining present with something good for one additional breath, sensation, or moment.
The goal is not to hold onto pleasure permanently.
It is to notice what happens when you do not rush away quite as quickly.
✍️ Reflection & Journaling
Explore your relationship with receiving, guilt, productivity, worthiness, and positive attention.
You may consider:
What kinds of goodness are easiest for me to receive?
What kinds feel more vulnerable?
What do I do when someone appreciates me?
What makes rest or enjoyment feel undeserved?
How do I know when I have received enough?
What would it mean to let one moment be complete?
🌱 Create Your Savoring Practice™
Design one small, realistic practice for noticing and receiving meaningful moments in everyday life.
Your practice might involve:
Pausing after completing something
Receiving a compliment with “thank you”
Taking three breaths with a pleasant sensation
Photographing an ordinary moment you want to remember
Writing down one experience that felt meaningful
Allowing rest without making it productive
Letting a celebration end without immediately planning the next achievement
This is not a gratitude requirement.
It is an invitation to notice what is genuinely good for you.
You May Leave With
Greater awareness of what interrupts enjoyment or receiving
A clearer understanding of your relationship with positive attention
Practical savoring and sensory-awareness exercises
Language for receiving appreciation without immediately deflecting
Greater permission to experience goodness alongside life’s complexity
Your personal Savoring Practice™
An invitation to stay with meaningful moments a little longer
Perfect For
Women who struggle to slow down, feel guilty while resting, move immediately from one achievement to the next, deflect compliments, or want to become more present with joy, beauty, connection, and appreciation in everyday life.

Following curiosity.
You’ll reflect on the messages you may have inherited about beauty, aging, confidence, femininity, movement, and who is “allowed” to feel sensual.
Together, we’ll explore the difference between performing desirability and experiencing yourself.
You’ll choose a personal intention to carry into the movement journey.

The Experience
Many of us have learned how to give.
We care for others.
We solve problems.
We anticipate needs.
We work hard.
We remain available.
We know how to offer love, support, attention, appreciation, and care.
But when someone offers something to us—a compliment, help, affection, generosity, rest, or support—we may pull away.
Minimize it.
Apologize.
Immediately give something back.
Question what the other person expects.
Or insist:
“I’m fine.”
The Art of Receiving℠ is a 90-minute experiential workshop exploring what happens when care, attention, support, appreciation, or generosity moves toward you.
Unlike Letting It Be Good™, which focuses on savoring pleasant moments, The Art of Receiving℠ focuses on the interpersonal experience of allowing something to come from another person without immediately deflecting, earning, repaying, or abandoning your boundaries.
Receiving is not passive.
It involves awareness.
Discernment.
Consent.
Choice.
And the ability to recognize what you genuinely want to welcome.
Because receiving does not mean accepting everything offered to you.
It means becoming more intentional about what you allow yourself to receive.
You’ll Explore
🌿 Understanding Your Receiving Patterns
Explore the beliefs, experiences, family roles, and cultural messages that may influence how you receive.
You may reflect on:
Whether being needed feels safer than needing others
What you learned about accepting help
Whether generosity creates feelings of obligation
How you respond to compliments or appreciation
Whether rest must be earned
What happens when attention is directed toward you
Whether receiving feels vulnerable, selfish, unsafe, or unfamiliar
How quickly you begin planning what to give back
These responses are not treated as failures.
They may reflect important experiences, values, boundaries, or learned ways of protecting yourself.
🧭 Receiving With Discernment
Receiving does not require you to say yes to everything.
You’ll explore the difference between:
Receiving and complying
Receiving and owing
Generosity and manipulation
Appreciation and evaluation
Support and control
Care and unwanted access
Openness and self-abandonment
Mutuality and immediate repayment
You are allowed to receive.
You are also allowed to decline, ask questions, request something different, or change your mind.
🌸 Receiving in the Body
Through gentle somatic awareness, notice how your body responds when receiving attention, kindness, encouragement, support, or appreciation.
You may notice:
Warmth
Tension
Ease
Discomfort
An urge to move away
An urge to minimize
A desire for more
A clear no
Uncertainty
A need for additional time
Body awareness offers information, but no single sensation determines what you should accept. You’ll be encouraged to consider sensation alongside context, consent, trust, values, and conscious choice.
💬 Receiving Appreciation
Practice receiving a simple, specific expression of appreciation without immediately dismissing it or returning a compliment.
You may respond with:
“Thank you.”
“I’m taking that in.”
“I appreciate hearing that.”
“I need a moment to receive that.”
“I’m not available to receive feedback about my appearance.”
“I’d rather receive appreciation about something else.”
You remain in control of what kind of appreciation feels welcome.
🤲 Receiving Support Without Immediate Repayment
Explore what it feels like to accept a small act of support without instantly balancing the exchange.
You may practice:
Allowing someone to assist with a simple task
Naming what kind of support would actually feel helpful
Receiving without apologizing
Saying “that’s enough”
Declining support that does not meet your needs
Allowing mutuality to exist over time rather than in every moment
No participant is required to give or receive anything personal, valuable, or physically intimate.
❤️ Receiving & Relationships
Reflect on the balance between giving and receiving in your relationships.
You may consider:
Where giving feels generous and authentic
Where giving has become automatic or expected
Where you struggle to ask for support
Whether others have room to contribute to you
What makes receiving feel relationally safe enough
What boundaries protect receiving from becoming obligation
✍️ Create Your Receiving Map™
Develop a personal reflection tool identifying:
What you enjoy receiving
What feels difficult or vulnerable to receive
What you do when attention moves toward you
Conditions that help receiving feel consensual and supportive
Forms of receiving you do not want
Language for accepting, modifying, or declining an offer
People and relationships where you want to practice greater mutuality
🌱 Design Your Receiving Practice
Choose one small, realistic practice for everyday life.
Your practice may involve:
Receiving a compliment with “thank you”
Allowing someone to help
Asking clearly for a specific form of support
Accepting rest without apologizing
Pausing before automatically giving back
Naming when an offer does not feel supportive
Allowing yourself to receive enough—and then stop
You May Leave With
Greater awareness of your relationship with receiving
More understanding of the difference between receiving and obligation
Language for accepting, modifying, or declining what is offered
Practices for receiving appreciation and support
Greater permission to allow mutuality in your relationships

Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space for emotions that may arise.
Receiving attention or support can bring up vulnerability, grief, suspicion, discomfort, or memories of past obligation. You will never be pressured to receive from another participant, trust someone, share personal history, accept touch, or override a protective response.
Every practice may be modified, observed, paused, or declined.
The Art of Receiving provides relationship education, somatic awareness, communication practice, reflection, and experiential learning. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, medical care, sexual services, or crisis support.

Permission to Feel™
The Experience
Permission to Feel™ is a collaborative emotional embodiment and sound experience by PleasureFWRD and Higher Self Harmonics, thoughtfully facilitated by Mayra Chaidez and Patrice.
This experience creates compassionate space for women to acknowledge what they are actually feeling—including anger, fear, sadness, hurt, frustration, joy, tenderness, numbness, or uncertainty—without being asked to suppress it, explain it, or transform it into something more acceptable.
Mayra guides a trauma-informed somatic journey using grounding, breath awareness, sound, shaking, movement, self-directed expression, and reflection. Each invitation is optional, and participants are encouraged to remain connected to choice, pacing, and personal limits rather than forcing an emotional release.
After the active emotional exploration, Patrice of Higher Self Harmonics guides an immersive sound bath, offering space for stillness, rest, and personal integration.
You do not have to perform your emotions here.
You do not have to make them disappear.
You are invited to meet them, move with them, and listen to what they may be asking you to notice.
Your Guides
🌿 Mayra Chaidez | PleasureFWRD
Mayra is a Somatica®-trained Somatic Intimacy and Relationship Coach, Certified Sexologist, and trauma-informed facilitator.
Mayra will guide the opening circle, grounding, emotional awareness, and self-directed embodiment practices—creating a compassionate environment where emotions can be acknowledged without judgment or pressure.
She can hold grounded, caring space when emotions arise while helping participants remain connected to their bodies, boundaries, choices, and individual pace.
🎵 Patrice | Higher Self Harmonics
Patrice of Higher Self Harmonics will guide the closing live sound journey, creating an immersive landscape of sound, vibration, and stillness.
Following the active somatic portion of the experience, Patrice’s sound journey offers participants an opportunity to rest, listen inward, and notice what they need as the evening moves toward completion.
Together, Mayra and Patrice weave emotional permission, somatic awareness, live sound, and community into one intentional journey.
The 120-Minute Journey
⭕ 15 Minutes | Women’s Opening Circle
We begin in community with grounding, introductions, and shared agreements around consent, confidentiality, personal choice, and emotional respect.
You may share as much or as little as you choose. No one will be asked to disclose trauma, explain personal experiences, or participate beyond their comfort level.
🌿 15 Minutes | Grounding & Emotional Awareness with Mayra
Mayra will guide gentle breath awareness, orienting, and body-based check-in practices.
You will be invited to notice what is present emotionally and physically without needing to label it perfectly, intensify it, or make it go away.
Together, we will establish personal anchors you can return to throughout the experience, such as feeling your feet, opening your eyes, changing positions, slowing your breath, or stepping outside.
🔥 40 Minutes | Emotional Embodiment with Mayra
Explore optional, self-directed practices that may include shaking, movement, breath, vocal expression, stillness, journaling, pushing against a wall, pressing into a cushion, or allowing the body to choose its own pace and rhythm.
These practices offer ways to acknowledge and move with emotions such as anger, fear, sadness, hurt, frustration, or grief while remaining connected to choice and present-moment awareness.
There is no expected emotional response and no requirement to cry, shout, revisit a memory, achieve catharsis, or experience a release. Quiet participation, observation, rest, and stepping away are equally welcome.
🎵 30 Minutes | Integrative Sound Bath with Patrice
Following the emotional embodiment journey, you will be invited to find a comfortable resting position as Patrice creates an immersive live sound experience.
The transition from movement into sound offers space to slow down, listen inward, and notice what your body may need after active expression.
There is no right way to receive the sound bath. You may lie down, remain seated, change positions, use hearing protection, step outside, or discontinue participation whenever needed.
✍️ 10 Minutes | Closing Circle & Reflection
Mayra will guide a gentle return through breath, orientation, and present-moment awareness.
You will have time for optional journaling and reflection before the facilitated portion closes. Sharing is always invitational.
🫂 10 Minutes | Community Connection
The final portion of the evening is intentionally left open for unstructured community connection.
You may stay to enjoy tea, connect with other women, or leave quietly if solitude feels more supportive.
You May Leave With
Greater permission to acknowledge your emotions without judging them
Increased awareness of how emotions may show up in your body
Self-directed practices for moving with emotional energy
A clearer understanding of your personal limits and sources of support

Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space for emotions that may arise. This experience welcomes emotional honesty while respecting that each person has different needs, histories, limits, and ways of expressing themselves.
Participants will not be encouraged to overwhelm themselves, recreate traumatic experiences, force catharsis, or remain in a practice that no longer feels supportive. Emotional expression must also respect the physical and emotional safety of everyone in the room.
Permission to Feel™ is designed for adults who can participate in a facilitated group wellness environment. It is not appropriate for someone experiencing an immediate mental-health crisis or requiring individualized clinical support.
Sound and vibration can feel different for every person. If you have sound sensitivity, tinnitus, migraines, a seizure condition, are pregnant, use an implanted medical device, or have another condition that may be affected by sustained sound or vibration, consult a qualified healthcare professional before participating and contact PleasureFWRD with accommodation questions.
Permission to Feel™ is an educational wellness, somatic self-exploration, sound, and community experience. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, medical care, sound therapy, physical therapy, or crisis support.
You are allowed to feel what you feel.

And you do not have to carry it alone.

Awakening the Senses™
The Experience
When was the last time you truly noticed what you were seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, or feeling?
Awakening the Senses™ is a playful, grounding somatic experience designed to help you reconnect with your body and the world around you through intentional sensory exploration.
In a culture that keeps us moving quickly and living inside our thoughts, sensation invites us back into direct experience. Color, texture, sound, scent, taste, temperature, movement, and breath become doorways into curiosity, presence, and everyday pleasure.
This experience is not about producing arousal or having a particular response. It is about discovering what captures your attention, what feels pleasant or unpleasant, what you feel curious about, and what your body wants more or less of.
Nothing to perform.
Nothing you are supposed to feel.
Only an invitation to become more available to what is already here.
You’ll Experience
🌿 Arriving & Sensory Grounding
Begin with gentle breath awareness and orienting practices that invite you to notice the room through sight, sound, temperature, and physical support.
Rather than closing your eyes or disconnecting from your surroundings, you will practice using your senses to arrive more fully in the present moment.
👁️ Seeing With Curiosity
Explore color, light, shape, contrast, and visual detail through simple observation exercises.
You will be invited to notice what naturally draws your attention and how your experience changes when you slow down enough to truly look.
🎵 Listening & Vibration
Experiment with sound, rhythm, silence, and vibration while noticing how different auditory experiences influence your attention and personal response.
There is no expected reaction, and you may adjust your distance, cover your ears, use hearing protection, or opt out of any sound-based practice.
🌿 Scent & Memory
Encounter a selection of optional scents and notice what feels inviting, neutral, unpleasant, familiar, or emotionally meaningful.
You will never be asked to inhale anything directly. Every scent may be experienced from a distance or skipped entirely.
🍓 Taste & Savoring
Explore taste, texture, temperature, and pacing through a small, optional mindful-tasting practice.
Rather than deciding whether something is simply “good” or “bad,” you will be invited to notice the details of your experience and honor your authentic preferences.
Ingredient and allergen information will be provided before participation.

A fragrance-free personal care policy is encouraged for participants so the sensory environment can remain intentional.
Touch
All tactile exploration is self-directed and uses objects, materials, or contact with your own clothed body.
Mayra does not provide massage, tissue manipulation, intimate or erotic touch. Participant-to-participant touch, nudity, and sexual activity are not part of this experience.
A Note About Emotional & Sensory Safety
Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space if emotions or memories arise. Every practice is invitational and may be modified, paused, observed, or declined.
You will not be pressured to tolerate an unpleasant sensation, explain your response, or continue an exercise to produce a particular outcome. Your preferences, boundaries, and sensory limits are meaningful information.
Awakening the Senses™ is an educational wellness and somatic self-exploration experience. It is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, exposure therapy, occupational therapy, medical care, or crisis support.
Your senses are always communicating.
This is your invitation to slow down and listen.
Conflict Without Disconnection™
The Experience
Conflict does not have to mean the relationship is failing.
Disagreement is a natural part of being close to another person. What often creates lasting disconnection is not the conflict itself, but what happens when defensiveness, criticism, avoidance, escalation, or the need to be right takes over.
Conflict Without Disconnection™ is an interactive relationship workshop designed to help you understand what happens inside you during difficult conversations and practice responding with greater awareness, honesty, and care.
Rather than teaching you to avoid conflict or remain calm at all costs, this experience helps you recognize your patterns, communicate what matters, and stay connected to yourself while engaging with someone whose perspective may be different from yours.
The goal is not perfect communication.
It is greater capacity to pause, listen, speak clearly, and find your way back to connection.
You’ll Experience
🌿 Arriving & Relational Grounding
Begin with a present-moment check-in to notice how your body responds when you imagine disagreement, tension, or misunderstanding.
You will identify personal cues that may signal activation, withdrawal, defensiveness, or the need for a pause.
🔄 Understanding Your Conflict Pattern
Explore common responses to conflict, such as pursuing, withdrawing, appeasing, becoming defensive, overexplaining, shutting down, or trying to solve the problem immediately.
You will be invited to recognize your patterns with curiosity rather than shame and consider what those responses may be trying to protect.
🗣️ Speaking From Your Experience
Practice communicating without blame by separating observations, interpretations, emotions, needs, and requests.
You will experiment with language that helps you express what is happening for you without claiming to know another person’s intentions.
👂 Listening Without Self-Abandonment
Explore how to remain curious about another person’s experience without automatically agreeing, fixing, defending yourself, or dismissing your own perspective.
Listening is presented as a relational skill—not as permission for disrespect or an obligation to stay in an unsafe conversation.
⏸️ The Conscious Pause
Learn how to recognize when a conversation needs to slow down.
You will create language for requesting a pause, identifying what you need during that time, and making a clear agreement about when the conversation may resume.
A pause is not punishment, abandonment, or avoidance when it includes communication and a plan to return.
🤝 Practicing a Different Conversation
Through fictional scenarios, written reflection, and optional structured exercises, you will practice naming a concern, listening for meaning, making a request, setting a boundary, or responding to disagreement.
Participants attending with an established partner may choose to practice together. Those attending independently can participate through individual reflection, observation, or fictional role-play.
No one is required to discuss an active conflict or reveal private relationship details.
✍️ Reflection & Integration
Close by identifying one conflict pattern you want to notice earlier and one communication practice you would like to carry into your relationships.
You May Leave With
Greater awareness of your personal conflict responses
Language for expressing concerns without blame or mind-reading
Tools for requesting a pause without abandoning the conversation
A clearer distinction between listening, agreeing, and self-abandonment
Greater confidence making specific, respectful requests
A personal plan for approaching difficult conversations differently
Good to Know
Designed For
Women and femme-aligned adults, ages 18+
You may attend independently or with an established partner. Partners of any gender are welcome when attending together and aligned with the agreements and purpose of the space.
Experience Level
Open to all. No previous experience with relationship coaching or communication workshops is necessary.
Participation
Every exercise is optional and may be modified, observed, or declined. You will not be required to reveal private details, reenact a painful conflict, or resolve an active relationship issue during the workshop.
Touch
This experience does not include facilitator touch, participant-to-participant touch, massage, intimate or erotic contact, nudity, or sexual activity.
Any practice between established partners is conversational and may be paused or declined by either person at any time.
A Note About Emotional & Relational Safety
Mayra facilitates through a trauma-informed lens and can hold grounded, compassionate space for emotions that may arise. Participants are encouraged to remain connected to their boundaries, choices, and individual pace.
Conflict Without Disconnection™ is designed for educational exploration and skills practice. It is not couples therapy, psychotherapy, mediation, trauma treatment, domestic-violence intervention, legal advice, or crisis support.
This workshop is not appropriate for practicing conflict skills with someone you fear or with whom disagreement may lead to intimidation, coercion, retaliation, stalking, or violence. Communication tools cannot make an abusive dynamic safe. Individualized support from a qualified domestic-violence professional or licensed mental-health provider may be more appropriate in those circumstances.
Connection does not require agreement.
It asks for honesty, curiosity, boundaries, and a willingness to return.
The Experience
Some conversations feel difficult before they even begin.
Naming what you want. Asking for something different. Expressing a boundary. Sharing a desire. Acknowledging that something has changed. Saying what has remained unspoken because you are afraid of disappointing someone, being misunderstood, or disrupting the relationship.
Brave Conversations™ is an interactive relationship workshop designed to help you prepare for honest, vulnerable conversations without abandoning yourself or trying to control the other person’s response.
Unlike Conflict Without Disconnection™, which focuses on navigating disagreement once conflict is happening, this experience focuses on finding the courage, clarity, and language to begin an important conversation.
Bravery does not mean saying everything immediately.
Sometimes bravery is speaking.
Sometimes it is asking a question.
Sometimes it is waiting until you have the clarity, support, and conditions you need.
You’ll Experience
🌿 Arriving & Grounding
Begin with gentle breath awareness and a present-moment check-in.
You will be invited to notice what happens in your body when you imagine speaking honestly—without forcing yourself to disclose the conversation you are considering.
💭 What Makes a Conversation Feel Brave?
Explore the fears, expectations, and possible consequences that can make certain subjects difficult to approach.
You may notice concerns about rejection, disappointing someone, being perceived as demanding, creating tension, or discovering that another person wants something different.
The goal is not to eliminate fear. It is to understand what the fear may be protecting and determine what support you need.
🧭 Clarifying What You Want to Communicate
Separate what you know from what you assume, what you feel from what you fear, and what you need from what you hope the other person will do.
You will identify the central truth, question, request, or boundary you want to communicate without overexplaining or building an argument in advance.
🗣️ Finding Your Words
Practice language for beginning conversations about relationships, boundaries, intimacy, desire, sex, changing needs, expectations, repair, or other meaningful subjects.
You may experiment with phrases such as:
“There is something important I would like to share.”
“I care about our relationship, and I want to be honest about what I am noticing.”
“I do not need an immediate answer, but I would like us to talk about this.”
“Would now be an okay time for a vulnerable conversation?”
“I would like to understand your experience, too.”
👂 Making Room for a Response
Explore how to communicate honestly without scripting the other person’s reaction.
You will practice staying connected to yourself while making room for questions, uncertainty, disappointment, difference, or the need for time.
Honesty creates an opportunity for connection, but it does not guarantee agreement.
🛑 Discernment, Boundaries & Timing
Consider whether the conversation is emotionally and physically safe to have, what setting would be most appropriate, and what boundaries may be needed.
You will identify when to continue, pause, seek additional support, or decide that direct conversation may not be safe.
🎭 Optional Conversation Practice
Use fictional scenarios or a personally chosen low-stakes topic to rehearse an opening statement, boundary, request, or question.
You may practice independently, with an established partner who attends with you, or with another participant using a fictional prompt.
No one is required to disclose private details or rehearse an active relationship crisis.
✍️ Your Brave Conversation Plan
Close by creating a personal preparation plan that may include:
What you want to communicate
Why the conversation matters
What you are asking for
What remains negotiable
What is a boundary
When and where you want to speak
What support you may need before or afterward
You May Leave With
Greater clarity about what you want to communicate
Language for beginning a vulnerable conversation
A clearer distinction between a desire, request, expectation, and boundary
Greater awareness of timing, setting, and emotional safety
Practice expressing yourself without overexplaining
A personalized Brave Conversation Plan
More confidence honoring both honesty and choice

What People Are Saying
“After one Somatic Lab evening, my whole system felt different—like someone turned the volume down on my anxiety and turned the volume up on my body. The movements were so gentle but somehow went deep. I left feeling softer, grounded, and actually rested… without having to ‘perform’ anything.”
— L., 34, Chicago
“I’ve done years of talk therapy, but my first somatic intimacy session with Mayra showed me things my mind could never touch. We went slowly, tracked my body, and by the end I felt a sense of safety and warmth in my chest that I honestly didn’t know was possible. It’s changing how I set boundaries and how I show up in my relationships.”
— M., 39, Chicago
“Working with Mayra felt like a deep homecoming to my body. I came in feeling numb and disconnected, especially from my desire, and through gentle somatic practices she helped me reconnect with sensations I didn’t even know I was missing. I feel softer, safer, and more present in my body now—like I finally have a body that can say ‘yes’ and ‘no’ with clarity instead of chaos.”
— K., 31, Chicago
