Welcome, let’s reclaim your body! Pleasure as a practice.
PleasureFWRD Somatics · Somatic Living & Relating
A Chicago studio for human connection, coaching, movement, and guided experiences to explore embodiment, relationships, and sexuality—with curiosity, consent, at your own pace.
One approach. Many ways in.
PleasureFWRD brings together different practices for exploring how we live in our bodies, how we experience pleasure, and how we relate to one another.
You don’t need to be drawn to all of them. Start where your curiosity is—a conversation, a movement class, a sound bath, a private ritual—and let the rest wait.
What “PleasureFWRD Somatics” means
PleasureFWRD Somatics is the name we give our approach. It isn’t a clinical discipline—it’s a way of bringing body, relationships, and sexuality into the same conversation.
Explore the practices ↓01Embodiment
Attention to the body through movement, breath, sound, and sensual expression.
Noticing what you feel—and letting that information count.
02Relationships
Communication, consent, boundaries, intimacy, and connection.
How you ask, how you listen, how you stay close.
03Sexuality
Desire, pleasure, erotic self-knowledge, and conscious exploration.
Getting to know what you want, at your own pace.
Explore the practices.
Each practice is a different doorway. Some are quiet, some are playful, some are deeply relational.

Sex & Relationship Coaching
Conversations and guided practices to explore desire, communication, boundaries, and intimacy—on your own or with a partner. Informed by Mayra’s training in Somatica®.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, and this is not a service of the Somatica Institute.
Somatic & Sensual Movement
Exploring sensation, expression, and how your body wants to move—at a pace you choose. No choreography to perfect, no way you’re supposed to look.
Sound Baths
Immersive listening experiences with room to rest, settle, and notice what you’re sensing. Nothing to do but listen.

Menopause Coaching
Space to explore what this stage brings to your body, identity, desire, and intimacy.
Coaching only—no diagnosis, medical treatment, or hormonal advice.

Somatic Shibari
Mindful exploration with rope, centered on body awareness, communication, boundaries, and consent.
Does not involve suspension.

BDSM & Kink Education
Education on consent, negotiation, power dynamics, limits, and care before, during, and after an experience.
Gender & Erotic Expression
Affirming somatic coaching to explore gender expression, desire, and intimacy, with space for kink, fetish, and BDSM curiosity. Explore what feels authentic to you, guided by your boundaries and consent.
Explore gender & erotic expression
You choose what you’re curious about. Practices depend on the offering and your interests—not every practice is part of every session.

Meet Mayra. Founder of PleasureFWRD.

Mayra Chaidez
Founder of PleasureFWRD · Somatic Intimacy & Relationship Coach
Mayra founded PleasureFWRD to create a space where adults can get curious about their bodies, their pleasure, and the way they relate—without rushing and without having to perform.
Her work brings together coaching, education, and facilitated experiences in Chicago and online. She works through a trauma-informed lens and refers out to licensed professionals when something falls outside the scope of coaching.
Movement, culture & self‑expression
Movement has been part of my self-expression since childhood. Growing up Latina, it was woven into my experience of culture and connection—a way to express myself beyond words. That relationship with movement continues to shape the work I share through PleasureFWRD.
Today, I bring that lived experience together with formal training and ongoing study, inviting clients to explore body awareness, sensual expression, and their own ways of moving. My intention is to offer space for curiosity, choice, and expression without the pressure to perform.

Questions, answered.
Do I need any previous experience?
No. Every offering is open to beginners. Come as you are.
Is every experience erotic?
No. Offerings have different focuses—some center on movement, rest, or communication; others explore sexuality directly. Sensuality doesn’t require sexual activity, and no offering expects nudity or sexual contact.
Do I have to take part in every practice?
No. You choose your entry point, and within any session you can adapt, observe, or skip a practice.
Can I come on my own or with a partner?
Both. There’s individual coaching, couples coaching, and group experiences you can attend solo or together. Each offering’s page notes who it’s designed for.
What if a practice doesn’t feel comfortable?
Say so—or simply stop. You can pause, modify, or sit out at any time, no explanation needed. Your comfort guides the session.
Is this therapy or medical care?
No. PleasureFWRD offers coaching, education, and guided experiences—not psychotherapy, medical care, or hands-on bodywork. When something calls for clinical support, Mayra can refer you to licensed professionals.
How do I choose where to start?
