The Art of Receiving℠
Receiving isn't selfish. It's a skill—and one that transforms the way we experience love, support, pleasure, and connection.
Many women have spent a lifetime becoming exceptional givers.
Giving their time.
Giving their energy.
Giving their attention.
Giving their care.
Giving their love.
Yet when support, appreciation, affection, compliments, rest, pleasure, or help are offered in return, receiving can feel surprisingly uncomfortable.
We deflect.
Minimize.
Apologize.
Say "I'm fine."
Insist we don't need anything.
Continue carrying everything ourselves.
The Art of Receiving is an experiential workshop designed to explore one of the most overlooked relational capacities: the ability to receive.
Through somatic practices, guided reflection, experiential exercises, movement, partner activities, and evidence-informed education, participants will gently explore the beliefs, nervous system responses, and life experiences that may make receiving feel difficult.
Rather than viewing receiving as passive or selfish, we'll discover how it creates healthier relationships, deeper intimacy, greater resilience, and more sustainable ways of living.
Because relationships flourish when generosity can move in both directions.
Receiving is not weakness.
Receiving is participation.
You'll Experience
• Somatic exercises focused on receiving
• Guided partner practices
• Exploring compliments and appreciation
• Receiving support without immediately reciprocating
• Nervous system awareness
• Reflection and journaling
• Group discussion
• Integration practices
You'll Leave With
✔ Greater comfort receiving care and support
✔ Increased awareness of patterns that block receiving
✔ Practical tools for receiving without guilt
✔ Greater self-worth and relational confidence
✔ A new understanding of generosity as something that flows both ways
Perfect For
Women who struggle accepting help, receiving compliments, asking for support, slowing down, experiencing pleasure, or believing they deserve care as much as they offer it to others.
